Diane Funk, PT, MS
Diane Funk is a native of Kansas, graduating from the University of Kansas with a BS in Physical Therapy. She also holds a Master's degree in Special Education. She has previously worked in the settings of the public schools, rehabilitation clinic, acute care, university education and home health. Diane established Pediatric Therapy Associates in Dallas in 1982.
Diane has significant experience with all areas of motor difficulties with infants and children. She has a particular interest in working with children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She has received Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification and is trained in Sensory Integration (SI) techniques as well as gait training. She is nationally certified and a member of the American Pediatric Therapy Association (APTA) and is fully licensed the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners of Texas.
Holly Burrell Witt, MS., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
Holly Witt is a native Texan, graduating with a BS in Education (speech therapy emphasis, all level teacher certification) and an MS in Speech-Language/Communications with a minor in Audiology. She has previously worked in settings of the public schools, home-health care, acute care, university education and supervision. She has provided editorial assistance for publications, site testing for evaluation development and has supervised a national norming project for a special education publisher.
Holly has particular interest in, and significant experience with, children who have motor speech disorders, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders), hearing impairments, oral-motor and feeding disorders as well as all ages and levels of language development issues. She is fully certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as licensed through the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Carla R. Austin, OTR Occupational Therapist
Carla Austin is a native of Wisconsin, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977 with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She had an internship at the Waisman Center on Mental Retardation and Human Development. She has previously worked in the settings of the state schools and early childhood intervention as well as having her own successful private practice for over twenty years.
Carla has significant experience with all areas of fine motor difficulties with infants and children. She has over thirty years of pediatric clinical experiences. She specializes in pediatric evaluation and works with children of all ages with fine motor and feeding difficulties. Carla is nationally board certified and is fully licensed by the State Board of occupational Therapy Examiners of Texas.
